JOB PURPOSE
Accountable for the delivery of large projects or other major initiatives to support the achievement of the Store Transformation plan or other Central Store Operations priorities. Lead a small delivery team of other project managers and works with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively in store. Delivers in line with the agreed delivery methodology and standards within CSO to achieve desired programme outcomes, on time, budget and to the agreed scope and quality.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for the delivery of large projects or other major initiatives to support the achievement of the Store Transformation plan or other Central Store Operations priorities
Lead a delivery team of project managers and works with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively in store
Delivers in line with the agreed delivery methodology and standards (e.g. stage gates, change control, planning, reporting) within CSO to achieve desired programme outcomes, on time, budget and to the agreed scope and quality
Works to continuously improve and develop their own skills and capabilities and that of the wider team
Contributes to the identification and analysis of potential future initiatives as input into the Store Transformation pipeline
Works closely with stakeholders across CSO & Stores to ensure we are effectively managing the change impact this has on colleagues and stores
Works closely with colleagues in the Store Experience team to develop solutions for the major pain points in stores
Be a role model and ambassador for our M&S behaviours
Have the ability to write and present business cases for investment
Scope out projects from concept to end to end delivery
KEY EXPERIENCE
Previous experience of successful delivery of large projects and change
Able to manage projects in an interconnected way to deliver a larger, more strategic outcome
Problem solving – analytical skills, ability to direct, lead and deliver solutions that go beyond existing ways of doing things
People & Leadership skills – communications, leadership and talent development skills.
Experience in managing and influencing key stakeholders across a business
